YouTube has added support for HDR for Galaxy S8, LG V30 and others

One of the trends in 2017 among the flagship models of A-brand smartphones was the support for the smartphone screen technology HDR, which can significantly improve the quality of the picture. This year’s variants were offered by Korean Samsung (Galaxy S8, S8 +, Note 8) and LG (G6 and V30), as well as Japanese Sony (Xperia XZ Premium). Unfortunately, the required content is not very much yet, but works in the direction of saturation of the market with such content continue. One example of this work is YouTube, which now supports videos recorded with the use of HDR.

We tested this option on the Galaxy S8 using HDR demos on the popular video service. Works, the richness and richness of the pictures are at a high level. To activate this function, you need to update the YouTube application to the latest version on one of the above mentioned devices (G6 in question) or Pixel / Pixel XL. Write in the comments that you think about the image quality with the active HDR.
