Acer Swift 5
Estimated cost : $ 999
Acer pleased its fans immediately with a pack of interesting models, from a thin monoblock and a powerful gaming PC, to notebooks and tablets of various shapes and purposes. Most of all, our attention was attracted to Acer Swift 5. This ultrabook weighing less than 1 kilogram, and with a 13.3-inch display – an excellent solution for those who need a laptop anytime, anywhere. The resolution of the display is not 4K, but Full HD, which should have a good effect on battery life. The novelty received Intel Core 8 processors.
Acer Swift 5 looks very attractive, but the color solution and weight strongly resemble last year’s ASUS ZenBook 3 , which, in turn, is very similar to the 12-inch MacBook, only much more powerful than an apple laptop. But, unlike them, Acer Swift 5 has a bunch of ports for connecting peripherals, whereas for “Zenbuk” and “Mac” you need to always carry a hub with you.
ASUS ZenBook Flip S
Estimated cost: $ 1099
ASUS also has not stinted on novelties, having rolled out at once some ultrabooks and “igrobookov”. One of the most curious novelties looks like ASUS ZenBook Flip S. It is much similar to the one already mentioned and released a year earlier by ASUS ZenBook 3 , however from a simple laptop it mutated into a laptop-transformer. It can be rotated 360 degrees, thus turning into a tablet. It will obviously be very expensive. For example, its 13.3-inch touchscreen display supports 4K resolution, and SSDs with a capacity of up to 1TB are used as drives. It only has one port – USB Type-C, but there is a fingerprint sensor. And ASUS ZenBook Flip S will also receive a new quad-core Intel Core processor, which should make it much more productive than the already powerful last year’s ZenBook 3.
Lenovo Yoga 920
Estimated cost: € 1600
Not without Lenovo. Among other things, the company introduced its updated flagship laptop-transformer. In place of the Lenovo Yoga 910 come Lenovo Yoga 920. Among the most interesting changes – the ability to start the notebook using voice commands, namely using voice assistant Cortana, and Microsoft’s built-in microphone that can catch your speech from a distance of up to four meters.
The display diagonal is still 13.9 inches, resolution – Full HD or 4K depending on the configuration. The device weighs 1.37 kg, but inside it has one of the Intel Core 8-generation processors with twice the number of cores compared to the previous series, up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 1 TB of space on a solid-state drive.
ASUS ROG Chimera G703
Estimated cost: not yet disclosed
ASUS is equally enthusiastic about developing both weightless ultrabooks and healthy gaming machines with “full stuffing”. But the main feature of the ASUS ROG Chimera G703 is not even “hardware”, but a 17.3-inch screen with a refresh rate of 144 Hz. Thanks to this, as well as G-Sync technology, the gameplay will be as smooth as possible, without gaps, no matter how dynamic the game is. In terms of design, the laptop adheres to the traditions of previous models, but the air holes for the air have expanded in area and now not only on the rear panel, but also on the side panels.
As for the “stuffing”, it is a classic gambling game with a video card NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080, a processor with an unlocked multiplier Intel Core i7-7820HK and up to 64 GB of RAM.
Razer Blade Pro
Estimated cost: 2300 dollars
Razer Blade Pro – a kind of update already available on the market Razer Blade Pro. If the previous one is equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card and costs $ 4,000, then the new version is practically a national laptop, only $ 2,300. However, after the price was reduced and power: the video card was replaced by the GTX 1060. In addition, the novelty will have an Intel Core i7-7700HQ processor, 16 GB of RAM, a 256 GB SSD and a 2 TB hard drive in addition. The display at the novelty is 17.3-inch, but Full HD. But it supports NVIDIA G-SYNC technology and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
