Smartwatch leaked Out ahead of launch

Samsung had announced during the Galaxy Note 8 launch event that it will launch a new Gear smartwatch at IFA 2017 in Berlin in the coming week. Samsung did not reveal any further information regarding the gizmo, however, a couple of images of the smartwatch have been leaked.

The speculations regarding the smartwatch launch were already peaking after it received W-Fi certification in early August. Later it was also spotted at the FCC. The announcement of the smartwatch launch has put earlier rumors to rest. The leaked images of the new smartwatch, which Samsung has named as Gear Sport, have revealed that the device will debut in a circular form factor similar to its predecessor. The size of the watchband, on the other hand, has been trimmed to give it a sleek look.
No other details regarding the smartwatch have come to light and it’s not too long before Samsung shares the detail at the IFA 2017 scheduled next week. The FCC certification documents had revealed that the device will be powered by Tizen 3.0 making it the first smartwatch from the South Korean tech giant to boast the technology. The documents had also revealed that it supports Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct for data transfer.

The smartwatch bears the model number SM-R600. Recently there were reports that Samsung will not launch Gear Fit 3, instead, it will come up with Gear Fit 2 Pro. The price for the same has supposedly surfaced online as well. With Samsung hustling its way up not only in the field of smartphones but in wearables as well, it is quite safe to presume that it wants to take a big bite from Apple’s shares ahead of iPhone launch. It is also expected that Apple will announce the launch of its upcoming Apple Watch.
