Segony Samsung has announced its readiness to begin production of chipsets with the technical process FinFET 11LPP (11 nm, Low Power Plus) already in the first half of next year. According to the Korean giant, these chips will be 15% more productive and 10% smaller than the 14-nm counterparts with the same power consumption. Unlike 10-nm chipsets, 11-nm processors will be aimed not at the flagship segment, but at medium- and medium-high-level smartphones. In addition, according to the schedule, the process technology of 7LPP (7 nm) is being developed using extreme ultraviolet lithography.

Since 2014, the company has produced 200,000 plates by this method and achieved 80% output for 256-megabit SRAM. The start of production of 7-nm chipsets from Samsung is scheduled for the second half of next year. Most likely, such a processor will become the basis of the Galaxy S10.
