Increasingly, both buyers and manufacturers prefer flagships on top-end chipsets to simpler models based on mid-high-end processors. One of the most popular lines of such chips is Snapdragon 6xx. This year Qualcomm had serious problems with the delivery of new models of these chips (630 and 660), but the company is not discouraged and is preparing a new generation of pre-flagship SoC.
According to the leak searcher Roland Kwandt (@rquandt), the company has already passed to the testing phase of the novelty on the reference device. The characteristics of the test platform are: 4/6 GB of RAM LPDDR4X, 64 GB of memory type eMMC 5.1, Quad-HD screen and two cameras (22.6 Mp and 13 Mp). It is expected that approximately this level of performance will be in commercial devices based on Snapdragon 670.
