The company Dell began taking pre-orders for their first head-mounted display. The Dell Visor helmet is based on the Windows Mixed Reality platform from Microsoft and was originally announced for the IFA 2017, which was held from September 1 to 6 in Berlin.
The helmet is equipped with two 2.89-inch LCD-displays with a resolution of 1440 x 1440 pixels, built-in sensor, providing tracking of movement with six degrees of freedom. It is interesting that the shield on the helmet can be thrown back and see what is happening around, without removing the entire design of the helmet.
Dell Visor is available for pre-order for $ 350. An optional set of wireless controllers will add another $ 100. Sales will start on October 17.
