Motorola introduced in CES 2018 two new plug-in modules for Moto Mod – A keyboard and A multifunction biosensor. Last year, Motorola had partnered with crowdfunding platform Indiegogo for a Moto Mods Developer / development kit contest called Transform the Smartphone Challenge. Motorola at the ongoing CES 2018 in Las Vegas, US, has announced the winner of this contest, the winner is a company named Livermorium. At the ongoing CES, Motorola launched the Mod developed by them. However, let’s return to the two new Moto Mod.
The First accessory: was developed by Livermorium with the support of Motorola. This is a sideways keyboard that is capable of tilting the screen of the smartphone at an angle of up to sixty degrees – a similar mechanism was found in the Nokia E7 smartphone. The novelty is called Livermorium Slider Keyboard Moto Mod. The price of the device will be $ 99, sales will begin before the end of winter.
The Second accessory: was developed jointly by Vital and Lenovo and is called Lenovo Vital Moto Mod. The huge module is designed to measure key indicators of the body – the pulse, respiration rate, oxygen content, body temperature and pressure. Particular attention is paid more on Motorola’s ability to accurately recognize systolic and diastolic pressure through a finger analysis. The price of this accessory will be $ 295, sales will begin in April.
Apart from the newly lunched Mods, Motorola has been launching Mods globally. The company has recently launched three new Moto Mods in India:
- An audio enhancing JBL Sound Boost 2 Mod
- Game Pad Mod
- Turbo Power Pack Mod.
These Mods are now available for purchased or rented online.
- The JBL SoundBoost 2 Mod is price taged at Rs 6,999 and battery life of 10 hours. JBL SoundBoost 2 Mod comes in Red, Blue, and Black colour variants which also posses a built-in stand.
- Next is the GamePad Mod that is price taged at Rs 6,999. The the GamePad Mod has dual control sticks, a D-Pad, and four action buttons to enhance your gaming experience.
- Lastly, the new Moto TurboPower Pack Mod, which has 3500mAh battery and offer up to 7 hours of battery life within 15 minutes of charge. The Moto TurboPower Pack Mod is priced at Rs 5,999
