How to add an email account to the BlackBerry Hub for priv and other Blackberry Androids

How to add an email account to the BlackBerry Hub for priv and other  Blackberry Androids

Overview

Setting up your device for the first time will prompt you to adding Google Account.This gmail login is not automatically added to the BlackBerry Hub app.you have to do this manually.

To add the first email account to the BlackBerry Hub:

  • From your home screen, just tap the BlackBerry Hub icon.
  • Note: If the BlackBerry Hub icon is missing, open the all apps tray to find the BlackBerry Hub icon.
  • There you have two options: You can either choose to add the account that was used during the Setup Wizard, or you add an account other then the one used in the Setup Wizard.
  • Under Let’s set up an account!, you’ll see the email account that was used to complete the Setup Wizard. If you want to add this account, click the blue button that contains that email address. If you would like to add another account, tap the Add Other Account button below.
  • Adding a Gmail account will prompt you to a Google sign in page. Here you enter your GMail or Google hosted email address, click the blue Next button, enter the password, and then click the blue Sign In button
  • Choosing Add Other Account will prompt you for your email address, then click the Next button at the bottom-right.
  • Enter your password for your email account, then click the Next button to the bottom-right.
  •   Step 8: you’ll be presented with a page to configure your email settings for the amount of days you want to sync email, how often you would like the device to sync for email, etc. These are optional settings and are not required to complete the process. If you wish to not change these settings, click Next at the bottom-right.
  • Boom!!!You have just  successfully added Your email account to the BlackBerry Hub. The Setup Complete! page should appear and you’ll have the option to change the name of the account and how it appears in the BlackBerry Hub.
  • You can change the desired label colour of your email account as well. If you wish to not have a colour label for your email, click the coloured dot adjacent to account colour and select No Colour.

You want to add additional email accounts to the BlackBerry Hub:

  • Tap the menu at the upper-right corner,
  • Tap Add Account.
  • Repeat steps 5 through 10 above.
  • Adding a Gmail account will prompt you to a Google sign in page. Here you enter your GMail or Google hosted email address, click the blue Next button, enter the password, and then click the blue Sign In button
  • Choosing Add Other Account will prompt you for your email address, then click the Next button at the bottom-right.
  • Enter your password for your email account, then click the Next button to the bottom-right.

Note: You will not be able to add an account if an IT policy dictates you must encrypt the SD card.
