Developed by Google, the operating system for smart watches Android Wear has not become particularly successful. The undisputed leader in this market remains Apple with its watchOS, and all Google partners together sell about as many smart hours as Samsung sells alone, using its Tizen.

However, even some iPhone owners preferred watches to Android Wear (according to Google, every third owner of the clock on this OS wears them with an Apple smartphone).

Given all this, Google decided on the eve of a major watch exhibition Baselworld rename its operating system for watches in Wear OS, removing it from the brand Android. What do you think about this decision by Google?
