The sociological agency Consumer Intelligence Research Partners conducted a study of the popularity of old iPhone models after the start of sales of new generations. To do this, a survey of a representative sample of US residents was conducted. It turned out that 31% of those who bought the iPhone during the period from November 4 to December 3, preferred the old models. Another 30% chose iPhone X, and 39% – iPhone 8 or 8 Plus. Such a high share of old models in sales of the iPhone was not yet: in 2016, 27% of buyers chose old models, a year earlier – 29%, and in 2014, when Apple introduced the first models with large screens, only 9%.
